Workshop Details

The workshop in the Lake District comprises of a 5 night stay including, hotel, dinner, bed and breakfast.
The Lake District still remains the most iconic of locations for landscape photography and artistry. The Lakes have been a playground for Artists, Poets and Romantics for well over 200 years.

The potential for superb landscape photography is endless in this most dramatic of locations.
The additional beauty of the Lake District for us as photographers is each new vista is only 10 to 15 minutes away, less in some cases. It is an amazing place to get out your camera and explore.

Home to William Wordsworth, the pioneer of the Romantic Poetry movement,
born in Cockermouth, Cumbria. He lived for many years around Grasmere and Rydal, most notably Dove Cottage in Grasmere.

The Tour
We will be taking photos from Dawn to Dusk at the most stunning locations the Lake District has to offer. The opportunities for great photography are endless in this corner of Cumbria and the National Park. I will take you to the classic locations but with some new viewpoints and angles.

We will also visit new locations and viewpoints around the Lake District that I have photographed over the years, this will bring the opportunity to add exciting new work to your portfolio.
Lakes, mountains, waterfalls and even the coast can be covered in this extensive workshop of Lakeland. The programme is aimed at people who want to improve their photography from any level, camera skills and composition. You may have a good
understanding of photography already and simply want to be guided to breathtaking scenery.

All the workshops we run are based on a relaxed format to make the most of your time and importantly enjoy the beautiful surroundings.

Testimonial

"I Just wanted to say a big thank you for the three days in the Lakes, I really appreciated your help and knowledge with the camera. I was also very impressed with your knowledge of the area and your ability to chose the right location for the differing conditions. Some of my images are way beyond what I thought I would achieve and I am so pleased with them".

Evening Review and Editing
One of the evening's when we get an opportunity, we will include a review of the days photography, we can also venture Ito some editing techniques if you want to discuss any ideas.

On the sessions you will learn how to take your image to the next level. I will talk you through each stage of the process to the final image, more importantly, I will explain how to take these new skills out into the landscape and increase your vision in front of the camera.

Small Workshop Group Size
A large part of my courses are about learning to see where an image is going to develop and looking at the landscape with a new eye for composition. As I only take small group's, this gives me plenty of time for one to one tuition. It also means we can easily stop along the routes to make images all through the day.
