Workshop Details
The workshop in the Lake District comprises of a 2 or 5 night stay options including, Dinner, bed and breakfast.
The Lake District still remains the most iconic of locations for Landscape Photography. The Lakes have been a
playground for Poets, Artists and Romantics for over 200 years. The pioneer of the Romantic Poetry movement,
William Wordsworth was born in Cockermouth,Cumbria. He lived for many years around Grasmere and Rydal, most notably Dove Cottage in Grasmere.  Grasmere is also our base for the duration of our creative stay. Perfectly situated to move North and South each day. Within easy reach of Keswick, Buttermere, Crummock Water and Derwentwater.

“If you need fired up to get out there and shoot, then Gary will provide all the enthusiasm you want. His knowledge of technique, composition, locations and weather conditions mean you end up with the best results. I have returned
from the course with quite a few shots better than
anything I have produced in recent months.”
“This is my second workshop with Gary and it won’t be my last.”
Paul Bradburn - Lake District Workshop
The Tour
We will be taking photos from Dawn to Dusk at the most stunning locations the Lake District has to offer. The
opportunities for great photography are endless in this corner of the Cumbria. I will take you to the classic
locations but with some new viewpoints and angles.
We will also visit new locations around the Lake District that I have photographed over the years, this will bring the opportunity to add exciting new work to your portfolio.
Lakes, mountains, waterfalls and even the coast can be covered in this extensive workshop of Lakeland. The programme is aimed at people who want to improve their photography from any level, camera skills and composition. You may have a good
understanding of photography already and simply want to be guided to breathtaking scenery.
All the workshops we run are based on a relaxed format to make the most of your time and importantly enjoy the beautiful surroundings.

Evening Review and Editing
Each evening where we get opportunity, will include a review of the days photography and editing techniques in Photoshop and Lightroom.

On the sessions you will learn how to take your image to the next level. I will talk you through each stage of the process to the final image, more importantly, I will explain how to take these new skills out into the landscape and increase your vision in front of the camera.

"I Just wanted to say a big thank you for the three days in the Lakes, I really appreciated your help and knowledge with the camera. I was also very impressed with your knowledge of the area and your ability to chose the right location for the differing conditions. Some of my images are way beyond what I thought I would achieve and I am so pleased with them".

Small Workshop Group Size

A large part of my courses are about learning to see where an image is going to develop and looking at the landscape with a new eye for composition. As I only take small group's, this gives me plenty of time for one to one tuition. It also means we can easily stop along the routes to make images all through the day.

Photographers and Partners
Partners are welcome on the workshops, it is not always possible to include them at the photographic locations because of space in the transport but please enquire as arrangements can sometimes be made. If it isn’t possible, the walks locally are stunning and
I can recommend many interesting places to visit.
A Deposit of  £300.00 is required to secure your place on a workshop, with the balance paid 8 weeks prior to the date of the weekend.

We will be staying in Keswick at the
the very heart of Classic Lakeland.
Perfectly placed to explore
all of Lakeland and its wonderful
photographic potential.
